Lake George Cottage Rentals

This 21 acre property on the east shore with over 700 feet of lakefront and a 120-foot sandy beach offers unparalleled access to all that Lake George has to offer. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or recreation, Takundewide provides a stunning setting for both.

Just outside your door, enjoy a sandy beach with swimming area, boathouse sundecks and docks, tennis & pickleball courts, playgrounds, gardens, and expansive lawns.

Guest cottages are available for stays of 1 week or longer and feature 2- or 4-bedroom layouts, 1-2+ bathrooms, screened porch, fireplace, kitchen, and living room.

The Mason House is available for stays of 2 weeks or longer in June, July, and August and 1 week or longer during the rest of the year. The Mason House features 5 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, patio, 2 fireplaces, kitchen, dining room, great room, and library.

Check-in/Check-out

Your vacation rental will be ready by 4:00 PM. Upon arrival, you will go directly to the vacation rental property. Entry instructions and directions will be emailed to you as soon as your property is ready for check-in. CHECK-IN INFORMATION.

Check-out is by noon. Follow our check-out instructions and we will waive cleaning fees ($250 plus NYS sales tax): CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS.

WIFI

Free WIFI throughout your stay. Network and Password are located in vacation rental.

TV

TVs have basic cable channels or streaming devices. Some are smart TVs (see Cottage Details) 

Kitchens

Kitchens have full-sized appliances and are fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, toaster, tea pot, pitcher, cutting board, coffee maker, and much more. Some have dishwashers (see Cottage Details).

Housekeeping

Housekeeping Cottages are a Lake George tradition! Bedspreads, cotton summer-weight blankets, sheets for beds, pillows, mattress covers, bath mats, face cloths, hand towels, bath towels, kitchen towels, pot holders, and dish cloths are provided. Your vacation rental is also stocked with starter supply of TP, tissues, soap, paper towels, and trash bags.

Fireplace and Grill

Vacation rentals have fireplaces and BBQ grills.

Some cottages have a gas grill, some have a charcoal grill. Check website for information about your cottage. For gas grills, we’ll supply the propane. For charcoal grills, remember to bring charcoal and starter.

Pets

We love our furry friends, but guests must leave them home.  Animals of any size may not sleep outside overnight or enter vacation rental cottages or The Mason House. Animals visiting Takundewide must be leashed and may not go on beach or swimming area. Owners must pick up after their animals.

Trash & Recycling

Guests are responsible for removing trash and recycling from cottage during their stay and at check-out. Pails are outside each cottage.

Pick-Up Days: Trash and recycling is picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays (holiday schedules may apply).

Public spaces have no pails; dispose of trash only at your own vacation rental.

Packages, Mail & Deliveries

Do not send mail or packages to 40 Boathouse Road or to your cottage address. If you expect mail or packages, please contact Cleverdale post office (on Route 9L) to arrange General Delivery.

Lake George vacation cabin rentals safety pledge at Takundewide Cottages

We’ve taken the Lake George Region “Health and Safety” pledge.

Contact-free check-in/out, vacant period between guests, and industry cleaning practices and supplies guidelines are followed. Linens, towels, blankets are professionally cleaned between every guest. Extra protective coverings on mattresses and pillows.

If you have been sick please stay home until at least 24 hours after symptoms have improved and you have not had a fever (without using fever-reducing medication).

If you develop symptoms of respiratory virus while you are at Takundewide, please isolate, stay out of common areas, and follow social distancing practices.

Office is virtual (no physical office). Meetings are by appointment only. Vacation Rental Guests of Takundewide Management Group have access to an on-site manager.

The Mason House, 40 Boathouse Rd, (Cleverdale), Queensbury, NY, where memories are made! The Mason House has always been a family home. Forever linked to this lake and this land, three generations have grown up in this home that our father lovingly built. This 1-story, 3000+ square foot classic Adirondack home enjoys lake views and is in the center of the 21 acre property, just steps from the beach and the tennis/pickleball courts.

The Heart of the Home. The original kitchen was remodeled with custom cabinetry and  granite counters, Kitchen has all the appliances a cook could ask for including a dishwasher. Family meals, jigsaw puzzles, and rousing card games around the dining room table are memories in the making.

The Great Room. Walls of windows let the outside in. This is the place family and friends gather for movie night, warm conversations, or a cozy fire in the double-sided, stone fireplace. The best memories are yet to come.

The Library. Extra space to work remotely or to rest and recharge. Paneled room lined with books includes a baby grand piano.

Time to rest your weary head. At day’s end, retreat to one of five bedrooms; three with en-suite bathrooms. There are 4 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and one king bed. The 4 1/2 bathrooms all have stone countertops and tiled showers; one also with a tub.

  • After September 19: $3,000/week

15% discount on each consecutive week in The Mason House. Bring your own sheets, towels, and blankets for a discount of $200/wk. NYS sales tax (7%) and Warren County occupancy tax (4%) will be added to all stays of 30 days and less.

Maximum capacity: 10 people (including children). Minimum stay is 1 week.
