TO BOOK. Print and complete RESERVATION REQUEST FORM. No printer? Just include all information on a piece of paper. Send form with deposit to: Takundewide Cottages, PO Box 85, Cleverdale, NY  12820. (email is not secure, so for your protection send by regular postal mail).  

RATES. Based on dates, size of cottage, and location (4% Warren County occupancy tax added to rentals of 30 days or less). Choose location preference (RESORT MAP): 

  • Groundsview:  400′ to 900′ from water’s edge across lawns
  • Lakeview:  less than 400′ from water’s edge with interior and exterior views of lake
  • Lakefront:  less than 100′ from water’s edge with interior and exterior views of lake

STAY A WHILE. Stays in a Guest Cottage are 1 week or longer. The Mason House stays during June-August are 2 weeks or longer; 1 week minimum during the rest of the year. Multi-week rentals receive booking priority and discount for each consecutive week in the same cottage. Plus Free Friday nights on multi-week stays between June 15 and September 5! Deeper discounts are available for monthly and seasonal guests. For more information: info@takundewide.com, Contact Us, 518-656-9573. (Note: To allow a vacancy between guests, a ‘week’ stay between June 15 and September 6 runs from Saturday at 4 PM to Friday at noon.) Before June 15 and after Sep 6, stay any available week (7 nights) or longer. 

WHAT IS INCLUDED. Housekeeping Cottages are a Lake George tradition. We provide freshly cleaned cottage, furnishings and professionally laundered bedding and towels; you provide housekeeping and food. Click here for a LIST OF WHAT IS INCLUDED and some suggestions about what to bring. Prefer your own sheets, towels, and blankets? Rate discount if you supply bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, bedspreads, hand towels, face cloths, bath mat, kitchen towel, dish cloth, and pot holders. A cleaning fee ($250 plus NYS sales tax) may be charged but it will be waived if you leave the cottage and grounds tidy and follow check-out instructions.   

PAYMENT. Deposit (50%) is required with reservation request and held until request is confirmed. Requests for this year are confirmed when received. Requests for next year are accepted any time and confirmed starting in January of following year. Reservations are filled in order request with deposit is received with priority for multi-week stays and returning cottage guests. If request cannot be confirmed, credit card will not be processed and check will be returned or shredded. Checks (made to Takundewide Management Group, Inc.), VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover accepted. $75 fee for checks returned from bank. Balance for cottage and weekly boat space is due 60 days before arrival. Balance for seasonal boat space or mooring is due before May 15. 

CANCELLATIONS. Reservations are non-refundable. If you must cancel, we will make every effort to re-book the cottage you reserved. If successful, payments made will be refunded (less a $250 service charge). Otherwise, the total amount of your reservation is due. 

POLICIES. Reservation is acknowledgment and agreement that you, each member of your party, and your guests will read and follow terms and conditions in the GUEST WELCOME GUIDE . You are responsible for damage to property or for violations reasonably attributable to you, your party, or your guests, of Guest Rules and any other applicable laws, rules or regulations.  We love our furry friends, but animals are not permitted to enter rental cottages, The Mason House, or the beach, or to sleep outside overnight. Indicate on the reservation request form that you read Guest Rules and read and sign Town Of Queensbury Short-term Rental Law.
